Contin has a combined Village Shop and Post Office within easy walking distance. The Achilty Hotel and Coul House Hotel are very close and both do good meals.

Strathpeffer Village has a Spar Shop, Gift Shops, Cafes, a small Museum and Hotels. Distance - two and a half miles.

Dingwall is our local market town with two Supermarkets, numerous shops and all facilities including free parking. Distance - six miles.

Inverness is a good Tourist Centre with Shops, Museum, Cinemas, Theatre, Swimming Pool, Gardens, Canal and River Walks. There are Rail and Bus Stations and an Airport. Distance - 22 miles.
